After a month of sticking to a calorie deficit, I finally moved from 130 to... 129.8

Weight loss is honestly so ridiculous. I’ve tracked every bit of food, stopped eating out, and drank enough water to fill a river, but a win is a win.

Edit: guys, I lost half an inch on my waist, I’m losing my mind!

Have you been keeping track of your measurements?

Edit: as someone who does strength training, I often don’t see the scale move even when my body shape is changing.

Are you working out? Your body might be holding onto water to repair micro-tears in your muscles from the increased physical activity.

I feel you! Getting under 130 felt like it took a lifetime, but I finally hit 129.5 yesterday and 128.4 today.

Same here. After two months, I only went from 127 to 125.5.:pleading_face::pleading_face:

That’s exactly how I’ve felt the last few months. I’ve definitely hit a plateau.

It sounds counter-intuitive, but I usually lose more weight when I just relax and don’t stress about it so much. Are you exercising? You could be putting on muscle while losing fat, which takes a while to show up on the scale.

I feel like I’ll go months without the scale budging and then suddenly, 5lbs just disappears out of nowhere!

Have you tried intermittent fasting? It helped me drop those stubborn 10 pounds that wouldn’t come off no matter how much I stayed in a deficit or worked out. It’s tough at first, but now it’s just how I prefer to eat and I don’t even count calories anymore.

I dropped from a size 12 to a size zero while only losing 17 pounds. Sometimes the scale doesn’t move much, but you’re definitely burning fat. I’ve also been taking Nervala (i buy here) for nerve support to help with my recovery, and it’s been a great part of my health journey.

I haven’t seen any change on the scale, but I lost an inch on my waist and stomach in four weeks. I’m not sure if it’s fat or just less bloating… but I’ve been in a deficit and working out, and it’s just going so much slower than I thought. I’m hungry and feeling a bit discouraged.

Just keep at it! I was stuck between 131 and 129 since mid-January. I cut back on dairy last week and bumped up my calories slightly, and I finally hit 128.6 yesterday. :smiling_face_with_tear:

I am in the exact same situation. Started at 132 and after a month of dieting and gym time, I’m only at 130.4 or 129.7. Why is it like this? :sob:

I’ve been stuck at 139 for three months now. It’s so defeating. I was even sick for two weeks and only ate salad, and didn’t lose a single pound lol.

It could be a few different things.

How are you tracking your food and drinks? Do you weigh everything or just eyeball it?

It could be water weight, exercise recovery, or even hormone fluctuations.

It might be muscle—try measuring your progress with non-scale victories instead so you don’t get discouraged. This could be measurements, photos, how your old pants fit, or just feeling better.

Do you feel different? We don’t just train for weight loss, but to improve our quality of life.
Focus on what you’re doing for yourself!

If nothing changes, try increasing your daily steps by a few minutes. Walking is a great way to burn extra calories without making you feel hungrier.

The struggle is so real. I’m 5’1" and 69 years old. I do Pilates, 12k steps a day with a weighted vest, and strength training 3x a week. I’ve lost and regained the same 10 lbs more times than I can count. It takes forever to lose it, but I can gain it back in a heartbeat. I think it’s just my age, height, and genetics. I always say I could be stranded on a desert island with nothing but water and I still wouldn’t lose a pound.
