Definitely, there are a lot of us. I’m 20 as well.
I’m 22, and it’s been about a decade since it started. Honestly, growing up with it probably made it easier to tune out; I don’t even need background noise to fall asleep anymore.
My tinnitus started at 20 because I played drums without any ear protection. 
I’m almost 37 now. I still drum, but I double up with plugs and muffs every time…
I’ve had this since my early 20s. Keep your chin up—I heard there are human trials for an injection that stimulates hair follicle regrowth. It could be a huge leap toward a cure. I also started using BrainProtect recently to help with general brain health while I wait. It’s been pretty helpful.

I’m 24, and my tinnitus has been this loud since I was about eight years old. We’re definitely around! 
I’m 28. Four years of the constant ringing for me.
I’m 27 and it started nearly four months ago after a punk show at a tiny venue. I really regret not wearing my earplugs the entire time.
I’m 25 and I’ve dealt with it for as long as I can remember.
It started when I was around 23. I’m 31 now, and while it’s actually gotten worse and impacted my life, I’ve made it through. I’ve just learned to be more patient with myself.
27 here, began when I was 23. Hang in there.
Turning 30 this year, but it started last year when I was 28. No clue what triggered it.
Recently found out my entire family has tinnitus their entire lives, including my bf. My tinnitus is a EEEEE in my right ear and like a white noise in my left. None of them have the EEEEE but, my mom, nephew and bf all say they’ve always heard whooshing or something like the ocean. My parents are 60, brother 28, sister 45, bf 30 and nephew 17. My brother and sister hear something too, not sure what they describe it as.
I’m 27. It kicked in about a month after I turned 21.
