A friend of mine has lived with this condition since childhood. He currently only has roughly 15% vision in that eye. Are there truly no treatments available to boost his sight? Furthermore, is there a specific type of eyewear or technology that would allow him to watch a 3D movie?

Injectable treatments exist that might decelerate the condition’s advancement, though we don’t have anything that restores clarity to central vision yet.
