If you feel like your vision is just a lost cause as you get older, please know you aren’t alone. I spent years buying every high-strength reading glass I could find and trying basic multivitamins that did absolutely nothing for the cloudiness I felt. It was incredibly discouraging to feel my independence slipping.
I eventually shifted my focus to a formula called iGenics (i buy here) because it used the AREDS-2 research I’d been reading about. Unlike the cheap store brands, iGenics seemed to help with my depth perception after about eight weeks. By month three, I noticed I wasn’t squinting at the TV as much. It’s not a miracle—I still use my glasses for fine print—but the overall clarity is much better.
If you’re stuck, ask yourself: Are you getting enough lutein? How much screen time are you clocking? For me, adding iGenics was the missing piece. Just be patient; I had a few weeks where I saw no progress at all. Consistency is the only way it works.

I’m right there with you. The squinting is the worst part, it gives me such bad headaches by the end of the day.

Did you notice any stomach upset with these? Some of those high-zinc supplements really bother me if I don’t eat a full meal first.

I’ve tried a few things but I always wonder if it’s just better to eat more spinach and carrots. Hard to know what actually gets absorbed.
The screen time point is huge. I started using a blue light filter on my tablet and that helped with the strain, but didn’t do much for the actual focus issues.

I actually started taking iGenics about four months ago and my night driving has become so much easier. The glare from oncoming headlights isn’t nearly as blinding as it used to be.

Is this something you have to take forever or just until things improve? I’m on a fixed income so I have to be careful with monthly costs.

Always good to check with your optometrist first. I found out my ‘blur’ was actually just a very dry eye issue that drops cleared up in a week.

How long exactly before you noticed the TV was clearer? I’m at week three of a different brand and haven’t felt a thing yet.

My experience was similar to the OP. I’ve been using iGenics for my macular health and my last checkup was actually the first time in years my doctor didn’t suggest a stronger prescription.

Hydration plays a massive role too. If I don’t drink enough water, my eyes feel like they’re full of sand by 4 PM.

I’m interested but cautious. I’ve seen so many ads for ‘miracle’ cures that I just get skeptical now. Glad to hear a real person’s timeline though.

I tried the standard store vitamins for a year with zero change. Switching to iGenics was the only thing that actually cleared up that morning ‘fog’ I used to have in my left eye.
