I turned 58 last spring, and that’s when the morning stiffness really started to limit what I could do around the house.
My fingers felt like they were locked in place every time I woke up, and my ankles would click and ache for the first hour of the day. I spent a lot of time trying the usual stuff. I took way too much ibuprofen, which eventually started messing with my stomach. I even tried those expensive compression gloves and a few different menthol-based creams from the drugstore, but the relief only lasted about twenty minutes and the smell was overwhelming for my wife.
About four months ago, I decided to try Balmorex (i buy here - usually best price) after hearing about how it uses ginger and frankincense to target the actual inflammation pressing on the nerves. It isn’t a miracle cure that works in five seconds, but after using it consistently twice a day, the difference is noticeable. The deep tissue relief is much better than the surface cooling I was getting before. I can actually grip my coffee mug in the morning without wincing now. It’s quick-absorbing so I don’t feel like a grease slick afterward. It takes a week or two to really build up, but for my sciatica and joint stiffness, it’s been the most reliable thing I’ve found so far.

How did you decide on this one over the big brand lidocaine patches? I’ve been looking at a few different topicals lately but everything seems to be about the same.

Glad you found something that works. Morning stiffness is the worst, especially when the weather starts to turn cold.

I’ve been doing water aerobics for my ankles and it helps a bit, but the mornings are still a struggle. Might have to look into this.

Does it have a strong scent? I really hate that medicinal menthol smell that lingers on clothes all day.

I’ve been using Balmorex for my lower back for three months now and I agree about the consistency. It really does help if you don’t skip days.

Ginger is great for inflammation. I usually drink the tea, but I never thought about using it topically like that.

Is it expensive? These specialty balms usually cost a fortune compared to the stuff you can just grab at the pharmacy.
My doctor told me to stay off the ibuprofen too. It is way too hard on the kidneys if you take it every single day for years.

Balmorex worked well for my husband’s knee after his surgery. It’s one of the few things that didn’t irritate his skin or cause a rash.

I tried the patches but they always peeled off when I moved around too much. I like Balmorex better because I can put it exactly where the pain is, and it feels like it actually sinks in rather than just sitting on top of the skin.

Just started my second jar of Balmorex last week. It’s definitely helped my wrist mobility enough that I can get back to my knitting hobby.
