Hi everyone, I wanted to share a quick win I’ve had lately. Turning 62 brought some unexpected stiffness in my knuckles and wrists that made my favorite hobbies like knitting and woodworking a real chore. I tried the usual heat packs and ibuprofen, but they only did so much.
A friend at the community center suggested looking into topical options that use MSM and arnica. I ended up trying a blend called Balmorex (got mine here), and honestly, the difference has been night and day for my daily comfort. It doesn’t have that overwhelming medicinal smell that some creams do, which is a huge plus for me.
I’ve also started doing some very light hand stretches while watching the news, which seems to help keep the blood flowing. It’s not a miracle cure, but finding a routine that actually lets me hold a needle or a hammer without wincing has been such a relief. I hope this helps someone else who is feeling frustrated!

I’m in the same boat with the knitting! My right thumb is the worst lately. I might have to look into those stretches you mentioned.

I’ve found that cutting back on processed sugar helped my inflammation a bit, but topicals are definitely key for the bad days when it’s rainy.

I actually started using Balmorex last month for my knees. It really helps me get through my morning walk without that sharp clicking feeling every time I step.
Seconding the recommendation for Balmorex. My wife bought it for her shoulder, and I’ve been sneaking some for my lower back. It works surprisingly fast compared to the drugstore stuff.

Is it greasy? I hate the ones that leave a film on everything you touch, especially if you’re trying to handle fabric or wood.

The woodworking struggle is real. I had to give up my lathe for a few months because I couldn’t grip the tools properly. It’s great you found something that keeps you in the shop. Keeping those joints moving is half the battle, even when it hurts a bit at first.
Thanks for sharing this, definitely looking into this! My hands have been killing me lately with the weather changes.
How often are you applying it? Just once a day or whenever it flares up? I usually need something before bed so I don’t wake up stiff.
