Dealing with the frustration of fading vision in dim restaurants?

I’ve spent the last few years feeling like the world was slowly losing its sharp edges, especially when the sun went down.

It started with squinting at menus in restaurants and eventually turned into a real sense of embarrassment when I couldn’t even read the labels at the grocery store without pulling out my phone’s flashlight.

Before finding something that actually worked, I tried a few different paths. I bought several pairs of those high-strength drugstore readers, but they just gave me headaches after twenty minutes. I even went through a phase of drinking fresh carrot juice every morning and taking a generic multivitamin, but I didn’t notice any real difference in how clearly I could see at night. I also tried those blue-light blocking glasses for my computer time, which helped with strain but did nothing for the underlying fuzziness I felt during the day.

About four months ago, I started taking iGenics (i get it here, discounted!) after reading about the AREDs-2 research. I liked that it focused on long-term eye health rather than just a quick fix. It wasn’t overnight, but after about six weeks, I realized I wasn’t reaching for the flashlight as much. The glare from oncoming headlights while driving also seemed much more manageable, which was a huge relief for my anxiety. It feels like it’s actually nourishing my eyes from the inside.

Of course, it’s not a miracle cure—I still need my glasses for fine print—but the general clarity and the way my eyes feel less tired by the evening is a major win for me. It’s been far more consistent than the other supplements I’ve tried. Just remember to stay consistent with it every day, or you won’t see the build-up effect. Has anyone else here had luck with specialized vision formulas like this?

I’ve been on iGenics for three months now and my night vision is definitely sharper than it was last winter.

I agree with the consistency part. I noticed iGenics started helping my focus after the first bottle, but you can’t skip days.

The flashlight at the restaurant thing is so relatable. I feel like such an old lady when I do that, even though I am one!

Does this help with the ‘floaters’ at all? I’ve been seeing those more often lately.

I’ve found that keeping the screen brightness down on my tablet helps a lot with the evening fatigue too.

I’ve been looking at a few different options. How did you settle on this one compared to the generic ones at the pharmacy?

I tried a different brand last year and it didn’t do much. Might be worth looking into the ingredients again.

My eye doctor mentioned AREDs-2 formulas are standard for aging eyes. It’s good to see people having success with them.

I’m 68 and I just accept that I need a bright lamp for everything now. It’s just part of the deal.

The glare from headlights is the worst. I actually stopped driving at night because of it. Maybe I should try this.

Is it a large pill? I have a hard time swallowing those horse-pill vitamins.

I’ve had a similar journey and iGenics really helped stabilize things for me after about two months of use.

Make sure you’re still getting your yearly checkups regardless of what supplements you take!

To be honest, I tried the pharmacy brands for months and didn’t feel a thing. I chose iGenics because the specific blend seemed more concentrated and it just sat better with my system without causing any stomach upset.
