I’ve spent the last two years hiding my feet because of stubborn yellowing and skin peeling. I tried every pharmacy cream and even spent months doing vinegar soaks every night. The creams were messy and the vinegar just made my skin raw without actually helping the nail texture. It was incredibly frustrating.
About six months ago, I changed my routine and started using Kerassentials Serum (i get it here) twice a day. What felt different was how it absorbed; it didn’t just sit on top. By week four, the skin around my toes stopped flaking. By month three, I finally saw a thin line of healthy nail at the base.
Now, at month six, my big toe is about 70% clear. It isn’t a “fast fix” and I hit a plateau around month four where I thought it stopped working. You have to be consistent. Kerassentials Serum definitely helped improve my nail resistance to the fungus, but it requires patience. It might not work for everyone, especially if you have a very deep infection, but Kerassentials Serum was the only thing that actually soaked in deep enough for me.

Did you have to file down the nail before applying it? I find that helps with penetration but it is such a chore to do every week.

Vinegar soaks are honestly the worst. They smell terrible and I never saw any real change in the actual nail bed, just dried out my cuticles.

I actually had a similar experience. I’ve been using Kerassentials Serum for three months now and the skin irritation is completely gone. It’s the first thing that actually stayed on the nail instead of rubbing off on my socks.

Six months sounds about right. People expect it to work in two weeks but nails grow so slowly. You really have to wait for the old nail to grow out completely.

Does it have a strong scent? I tried some tea tree oil blends before and my wife couldn’t stand the smell in the bedroom.

Make sure you are also washing your socks in hot water and maybe using an antifungal spray in your shoes. Otherwise, you just keep re-infecting yourself.
I’m at the 2-month mark with a different product and seeing nothing. Might have to look into what you’re using if I don’t see progress by July.

I used Kerassentials Serum for a nasty case of athlete’s foot that wouldn’t quit. It cleared up the itching between my toes faster than the stuff I got at the grocery store.
How many bottles did you go through in six months? I’m trying to budget for a long-term routine since I have it on both feet.

Glad to hear you’re seeing progress! It’s such a blow to your confidence when you can’t wear sandals in the summer. Stick with it!
