I’ve been tracking my progress over the last few months, and while there’s definitely an improvement in my visual comfort, I’m still trying to pin down the exact cause. It’s an interesting puzzle. On one hand, I’ve been much more diligent about taking breaks from my tablet, which might be reducing the overall strain. On the other hand, I’ve also introduced iGenics (i buy here) into my daily routine because of the AREDs-2 ingredients. It’s hard to say for sure if the supplement is the primary driver or if the new LED lighting in my den is playing a bigger role. I’m curious if anyone else has experimented with multiple changes at once and how you managed to identify what was actually working. Perhaps knowing your age or your specific daily habits would help provide more context for my own situation. I want to remain balanced in my approach before drawing any final conclusions.
I’m in the same boat. I’ve been trying to eat more leafy greens but it’s hard to tell if it helps yet.
Hydration is huge for me. If I don’t drink enough water throughout the morning, my eyes feel like they have sand in them by late afternoon.
Have you tried those high-lumen craft lamps? They made a bigger difference for my knitting than any glasses ever did. Lighting is everything.
I’ve had a similar experience with iGenics recently. I started it about two months ago and it definitely gave good results for my night vision. The glare from streetlights isn’t nearly as bothersome as it used to be.
It’s usually a combination of things. I wouldn’t discount the blue light filters on your tablet, those helped my eye strain immensely when I’m reading at night.
Are you also noticing less dryness? I’m 62 and that’s my biggest hurdle right now. I’d love to know your age for comparison.
It’s funny you mention the supplements because iGenics gave good results for me too. I’m 68 and I noticed my eyes don’t feel nearly as tired by the end of the day when I’m consistent with it.
Don’t forget about Bilberry. I take that alongside my multivitamins and it seems to help with the general sharpness, though it took a few months to notice.
I think the puzzle work itself is good ‘exercise’ for the eyes, as long as you have that LED lighting set up correctly.
Glad to hear you’re seeing some progress! It’s a slow journey at our age, but every little bit of clarity helps. Keep us posted on which one you think is the main factor.
