Finding relief for my stiff joints

I spent most of last year struggling to get out of my armchair without making a noise.

At 62, I expected some wear and tear, but the constant throbbing in my lower back and knees was starting to limit my life. I tried everything from heavy-duty heating pads to those smelly menthol patches.

Q: What did I try first?
I started with OTC pills, but my stomach couldn’t handle the daily intake. Then I moved to physical therapy, which helped my range of motion, but didn’t stop the sharp nerve pain that flared up at night.

Q: Why did I switch to topicals?
I wanted something that targeted the inflammation directly without the systemic side effects. Most gels were either too greasy or just felt like a temporary cooling distraction.

Q: How did I find a solution?
A friend mentioned a blend based on traditional Azores remedies. I started using Balmorex (i order here, best price i found) about six weeks ago.

Q: What makes it different?
It uses MSM and Frankincense to actually calm the cytokines that irritate my nerves. Unlike the menthol creams, it absorbs fast and doesn’t leave me smelling like a medicine cabinet. Within two weeks, I noticed I wasn’t reaching for the Ibuprofen as often.

Q: Is it a miracle?
No, it requires consistency. I apply it twice a day—once after my morning shower and once before bed. It hasn’t fixed the underlying arthritis, but the deep tissue relief allows me to stay active enough to keep my joints lubricated naturally. Just make sure to talk to your doctor before changing your regimen. It takes a little time to build up, so don’t expect it to work in five minutes.

I’ve been looking at a few different creams lately. How did you decide on this one over something like Voltaren or those CBD rubs? Did you try the hemp-only ones first?

I’ve had a similar experience with Balmorex for my wrists. The ginger root in the formula really seems to help with that localized heat I get during flare-ups.

The Azores connection is interesting. My PT always says that consistency is 90% of the battle with topical treatments.

Is it actually non-greasy? I hate when I put a cream on and then I can’t even hold my coffee mug because my hands are sliding everywhere.

I tried the CBD rubs for a month, but they were pricey and didn’t seem to touch the nerve pain specifically. I chose Balmorex because the MSM and Arnica combo felt more complete for my sciatica. The CBD just felt like it numbed the surface, whereas this feels like it gets deeper into the muscle.

Adding my two cents—Balmorex has been a staple for my post-gardening recovery. It doesn’t have that overwhelming hospital smell which is a huge plus for me.

I’m 68 and I find that heat before the balm helps it absorb even better. Maybe try a warm compress first?

Thanks for the breakdown. I’ve been looking for something that doesn’t interact with my heart meds, so a topical might be the way to go.
