Getting my grip strength back and reducing the swelling

I spent most of my fifties thinking that stiff, swollen knuckles were just the price of admission for getting older.

It started as a dull ache when I’d wake up, but eventually, it got to the point where even holding a coffee mug felt like a chore. I tried everything to get some mobility back.

First, I went through several bottles of standard glucosamine and chondroitin. It didn’t do much for me other than cause some pretty annoying heartburn. Then I moved on to those heavy-duty topical creams. They smelled like a locker room and the relief lasted maybe twenty minutes. I even tried a cortisone shot once, which was helpful for a few weeks, but the pain came right back.

I realized I wasn’t actually addressing the cushioning inside the joint. Everything I was doing felt like a surface-level fix. I started looking into the science of joint fluid and how it thins out as we age. That’s when I decided to try JointGenesis (i order here, best price i found) about four months ago.

It wasn’t an overnight fix. For the first two weeks, I didn’t feel much of a difference. But by the end of the first month, I noticed the grinding sensation in my wrists was significantly quieter. Now, I can actually grip a screwdriver or open a jar without wincing.

The main difference for me is that it focuses on the hyaluronan levels, which helps keep the synovial fluid thick and protective. It feels more like a long-term maintenance plan rather than just masking the symptoms. Of course, I still have to be careful with my diet and stay active, but the baseline level of comfort is night and day compared to last year. It takes some patience to see results, but for me, it was worth sticking with it.

That morning stiffness is the worst. I usually have to run my hands under hot water for five minutes before I can even make breakfast.

I’ve been on JointGenesis for three months now and my knees finally stopped clicking every time I stand up. It really does help with that feeling of being bone-on-bone.

JointGenesis made a huge difference for my hip stiffness, definitely worth the wait for it to kick in. I noticed the change around week five.

Is this something you have to take forever? I’m always wary of adding another pill to my morning routine, especially with the cost of everything these days.

Did you look at any other similar brands before picking this one? I see so many options at the pharmacy and never know what to choose or what actually works.

The hyaluronan aspect is interesting. I’ve heard some people get injections for that, but a supplement seems much less invasive if it actually absorbs properly.

Glad you found something that works for you. Being able to use your hands without pain is such a basic thing we take for granted until it’s gone.

I agree with the OP, JointGenesis is the only thing that actually helped with the morning puffiness in my fingers. I can actually wear my wedding ring again.

Did you notice any stomach issues with it? I had the same problem with glucosamine and had to stop because of the acid reflux.

I did look at some of the cheaper store brands, but I went with JointGenesis because of the focus on hyaluronan. The other stuff was mostly just the same old glucosamine blends I’d already failed on. As for side effects, I haven’t had any issues with my stomach at all.

Cutting out processed sugar also helped my inflammation levels a lot. It’s a tough transition but worth it when combined with a good supplement.

Thanks for sharing the timeline. Most people give up after a week if they don’t feel a miracle, so it’s good to know it takes about a month to build up.

Are you still doing any specific exercises for your hands or just the supplement? I’m trying to put together a full plan for my own recovery.
