For over half a decade, I’ve struggled with incredibly dry skin down there—constant itching regardless of what moisturizer I used. If I scratched too much, the skin would split and bleed, or if I walked a lot, I’d end up walking like a cowboy because of the soreness. I once went for a swim in the ocean after a bad scratching session—good lord, the stinging was unbearable. However, I felt too self-conscious about the problem and never did anything besides buying every lotion available at Target to find a fix.
Finally, last week, I visited a dermatologist… and you know what? It wasn’t awkward at all. They gave me a prescription for Alclometasone Dipropionate for eczema in sensitive areas, and just five days later, the issue is TOTALLY GONE. I feel like such a fool.
The lesson here for everyone: SEE A DOCTOR IF SOMETHING IS WRONG. Don’t suffer in agony on a beach in Hawaii just because you’re too shy about your junk to get medical help.
TL;DR: Suffered from eczema on my testicles for 6 years due to embarrassment; went to the doctor and it was fixed in five days.
Edit: Included the name of the cream for those who wanted to know.

What medication did they give you?
Man, that sounds rough. Six years? Glad to hear it’s finally resolved.

Happy you finally found the courage to handle it.
I started dealing with the same thing on my sack about two years back. I totally get the struggle.

I tell people who avoid the doctor all the time: “You don’t get any points for suffering”.
Edit. Missed off an ‘a’.
You alright, kid? No, my balls are dry… and time is ticking.

I went through something similar, but it was psoriasis. It was awful until a specialist gave me the right ointment. My regular doctor thought it was just a fungal infection and had me using the wrong treatment for years.

Considering you ignored a condition that left your balls DRY AND BLEEDING for SIX WHOLE YEARS, you’re lucky the doctor could fix it in just five days.

Don’t ever feel shy about seeing a physician. They don’t mind and they try to make things comfortable. I once had to have my pubic area shaved for a medical thing. Let’s just say I had a physical reaction while a nurse was working right there. I was mortified and couldn’t even say sorry. She just kept working like it was nothing. They are pros who have seen everything.
I always remind people that doctors don’t care at all. Don’t think of them as regular people; they are experts who have seen more private parts than a veteran sex worker. They aren’t judging your anatomy; they’re looking at the medical issue. I have a rare condition that means I’m frequently undressing for doctors; they just check it out and move on. Whatever you’re hiding, they’ve definitely seen worse.

Just a reminder that most MDs, especially specialists, have encountered weirder stuff than you can imagine. They’re professionals. If you have an issue that you think is too weird or too embarrassing, I guarantee they’ve dealt with worse. Talk to your doctors. Tell them about the weird stuff.
This is actually how I found out I had testicular cancer. One of my testicles swelled up like a plastic egg. I was embarrassed but told my mom I needed a doctor. If I’d stayed quiet out of shame, I don’t know where I’d be. I’ve been in remission for almost 8 years now.
