Does this actually signify anything? I’ve been noticing it more frequently, and it usually comes with a sensation where background noise feels muffled while the ringing is happening. It typically lasts just a few moments, but I had an episode last week that persisted for 30 seconds, which is the longest yet. It alternates between my left and right ears but never occurs in both simultaneously. A psychic once advised me to close my eyes and wait for messages when I hear it, but every time I try, I get absolutely nothing.
