It's obvious which of you have never dealt with IBS before

Listen, Statler can be quite annoying, but IBS urgency is real—when the need hits, you can’t wait. I’m just confused why the producers thought that was appropriate to broadcast. I’d be so embarrassed. Hopefully, she was aware they planned to include that footage.

I second that. Even without IBS, I felt it was awful how Statler was portrayed as weird just for needing a bathroom immediately. Honestly, Dempsey seems like the odd one for not understanding why a functional toilet is a necessity!

The medical condition itself isn’t the problem; it’s the fact that it was televised. I doubt anyone is actually judging her for having IBS.

As someone with IBS, I would have requested that the crew stop filming for privacy and health reasons. I also would’ve made sure the door was shut and tried to remove my microphone while in the bathroom! I definitely wouldn’t be as open about my medical history on television as Statler or some of the others have been.

Totally agree. She’s getting flak for mentioning it constantly, but the producers are the ones shaping the narrative. Besides, when you live with IBS, it really does dictate a lot of your daily life.
