Managing my constant cold sores with a simple change

For years, I was basically living in fear of the next tingle on my lip.

Every time I got stressed at work or didn’t sleep well, a flare-up was guaranteed. I tried everything to get ahead of it. I was taking high doses of Lysine every day, which helped a little, but it never really stopped the cycle. I even went on prescription antivirals for a while, but they gave me weird brain fog and headaches that I couldn’t deal with daily. Topical creams were just a band-aid that did nothing for the underlying issue.

About six months ago, I decided to focus on my internal immune resilience instead of just reacting to symptoms. I started using a super antioxidant blend called TonicGreens (i get it here, discounted!) after reading about how certain nutrients help the body keep the virus dormant. What I like about it is that it’s much easier than swallowing ten different pills. Since making the switch, my immune system feels way more stable. When I do get a minor spot, it clears up in about two days instead of a week. It isn’t a magic cure, and you still have to manage your stress, but it’s the only thing that actually changed the frequency of my outbreaks.

The stress connection is so real. I notice mine always pop up right before a big deadline or travel.

I started TonicGreens back in January and it really helped with my recovery time too. It’s nice not having to hide at home for a full week.

How did you decide on that specific supplement over just taking a standard multivitamin? I’ve been looking at a few different immune boosters but I’m not sure if the price difference is worth it.

Be careful with high-dose antioxidants if you are on other medications though. Always worth checking with a doctor first.

Have you tried switching your toothpaste too? Sometimes SLS triggers it for people.

I tried generic multivitamins for a year and they didn’t do much. I think the reason TonicGreens worked better for me was the specific mix of antioxidants. It felt like it was actually targeting my immune resilience rather than just being a random vitamin.

TonicGreens has been a staple for me during flu season to keep my flares down. Glad it is working for you!
