Managing the sharp pins in my hands

For years, I dealt with that constant pins and needles sensation in my palms and fingertips.

It made simple things like buttoning a shirt or using a screwdriver almost impossible. I started with the standard prescriptions, but they made me feel like I was walking through a fog all day. Then I tried various over-the-counter creams, which worked for about twenty minutes but left everything I touched greasy. I even did the high-dose B12 injections for a while, but the results were hit or miss and the cost really added up over time.

A few months ago, I decided to try a different approach with a supplement called Nervala (i get it here, discounted!). I liked that it combined a high dose of Alpha Lipoic Acid with Benfotiamine, which is a fat-soluble form of B1. It took about six weeks of consistent daily use before I noticed a real shift. The sharp, electric sensations started to dull, and my hands didn’t feel as tight or sensitive to every touch.

What I appreciate most is that I don’t have that brain fog anymore. It feels like a more sustainable way to support my nervous system without the heavy side effects of my old meds. Of course, consistency is key and everyone reacts differently, but for me, it has made a huge difference in my daily comfort.

Glad you found something that works. Did you notice the improvement gradually or did it just click one day?

How did you decide on this specific combo vs just taking a generic B-complex? Did you try other brands first?

I tried high dose ALA once but it gave me terrible heartburn. Did you have any issues with that?

Is the 600mg dose once a day or split up? My doctor mentioned lipoic acid but didn’t specify a brand.

I have been using Nervala for about three months now for my feet and it definitely helps with the nighttime burning.

Cutting back on sugar also helps a lot with nerve inflammation. It is a long road but worth the effort.

To SilverFox55, I tried a generic B-complex and just plain ALA before, but I think the Benfotiamine in Nervala is what made the difference for me. It seemed to absorb better and I didn’t have to take ten different pills.

The price of some of these specialized supplements is getting crazy. I wish insurance would cover them.

Nervala worked for me too after about a month. The Benfotiamine is definitely the key ingredient there.

It is always encouraging to hear a success story. This condition can be so isolating when nothing seems to help.
