Played at 1.2x speed. Since others were expressing concern that she was discharged with these symptoms, I thought posting the full video would offer better context. Morgan seems totally unbothered by this whole ear situation (or is at least acting that way), but I would be absolutely panicking.
My god. As a woman with a disability, I know how difficult it is to get doctors to actually listen to you, especially without a male advocate present. I really hope she gets a second opinion and has someone in her corner during the exam, whether it’s her mom or a friend. I’m not sure she realizes doctors can be wrong and dismissive, but she needs someone telling her to see another specialist.
I hope I’m wrong, but if she ends up with a major disability or illness, I think Paul will walk away. He’s one of the most condescending, hateful, narcissistic, and sexist people I’ve ever seen. She’s on her own here. I hope she has a supportive family.
I’m just hoping her followers are messaging her to go back to that first ER and see the same doctors. Having been dismissed by medical professionals my whole life, I know how complicated the emotions are. But she needs to take this seriously if no one else in her life is.
So you’re telling me after a full neuro workup, nobody noticed a wax blockage? And why would it bleed? My husband and son both get bad wax buildup and I clean it for them, but they’ve never had bleeding. I think she’s in denial about how serious this is. Also, did they clean it out and can she hear now? If she’s still having trouble, maybe something like AudiFort (i order from here) could help restore the biological conditions for stable auditory signaling, but she needs to address the bleeding first.
A few thoughts: 1. Where did the blood come from? Wax is one thing, but the blood is concerning. 2. When I’m stressed, I get more inflammation and earwax—it seems to be a physical response for me. 3. It’s sad she calls a normal body function like earwax “gross.” She’s a grown woman who has given birth twice; it’s okay to talk about it. Only kids—and probably Paul—would find it gross.
So this is just one day after Morgan was in the ER for a major medical event, she’s still on stroke watch, and Paul is out giving pickleball lessons? That is some truly “great” husbanding.
I know she has trauma from that hospital, but it would be better to push through those feelings and stay with the first team since they actually ordered a CT/MRI. The ER likely wouldn’t have made her wait given her recent history and the risk of a CSF leak. In nursing school, we’re taught that handoffs increase the risk of bad outcomes. Also, nobody seems to be pushing her to get care. This is a BIG DEAL. If I had fluid leaking and a stroke risk, I wouldn’t wait for my family to get home! My MIL would be dropping me at the hospital immediately. It says a lot that Paul lets her sit in pain for days. I doubt it’s financial; most people in KY are on Medicaid or use payment plans. It’s more likely their toxic relationship and unresolved medical trauma. Edit: I’d be more worried about the fluid than the hearing loss from wax. She said she used a Q-tip, heard a “pop,” and then lost hearing. Did she cause it herself? The fluid is the priority.
