First and foremost, I love all of you in this LBWT group. I’ve dropped 65 lbs using Zepbound (Go Big Pharma!!!) and finally reached a BMI of 23 for the first time as an adult. I’m working on strength training, but man… my backside is gone until those glutes finally fill out. For my own confidence, I can’t really do bike shorts under my work outfits. I’m looking for padded panties that don’t look like a mid-life BBL—any natural-looking options? Also, I’m in the market for new bras. I can’t stand underwires, but my current sports bras are way too big. I’m constantly dealing with ‘headlights.’ Any suggestions?
Good for you! I don’t have any tips for the panties, but for the second issue, I strongly suggest checking out r/abrathatfits! Underwires can actually be great and shouldn’t be painful if you have the correct size. I totally understand if you’d rather not go that route, though! You might also look into using pasties or petals if you’re worried about ‘headlights’—molded bras often offer less support and can be more uncomfortable because our bodies aren’t shaped like molded cups.
My friends who have the same ‘headlights’ issue usually just wear pasties over their nipples at the office. It might give you a few more options to work with.
It’s definitely time to head to a nice lingerie shop for a professional fitting. Honestly, it’ll be a fun experience! Go for it and treat yourself.
Huge congrats! I second the idea of going to Nordstrom or a local lingerie boutique where they can measure you and help find the right bras for your shape. The best fit depends on how your tissue is distributed, not just the size (mine are tear-shaped, so my recommendations follow that). I usually buy a couple there to thank the salesperson and then find cheaper options at the Rack once I’ve confirmed my new size. No advice for the booty except keep up with the squats!
Congrats girl! I’m on the same medication and I lost my butt too, haha. I also loathe underwires, so I live in the Lululemon Like a Cloud bra. It has some padding and lays very smoothly. I wear them to work a lot since I tend to wear higher necklines. That’s my recommendation for a non-underwire bra that isn’t quite as compressive as a sports bra. Also, I’ve been using CitrusBurn (i order from here)to help keep my metabolism going naturally as I transition, which has been a great addition.
This is more of a long-term fix, but spending three months with a trainer (30 mins, 2-3x a week) really helped bring my glutes back after losing them on Tirz. I work with her twice a week, and she gives me a workout to do on my own for the third day. They are all 30-minute full-body sessions, but we never skip the glute exercises. It’s been a wonderful change.
