This is a really effective way to resolve some constipation with this ‘drug.’ Ready? Eat a terrible meal. McDonald’s, Taco Bell, or something similar. It triggers a round of diarrhea that will clear out even the most stubborn stool, guaranteed. I use this tactic about once a month when I feel things getting bad, and it works perfectly. No medication or Miralax required. Just a greasy burger or some cheap tacos. By the way, this isn’t a joke; I’m completely serious, and it really works.
My mom isn’t on Zep, but she swears by a gas station cappuccino. Lol
Totally agree. Particularly if it’s been a while since you’ve had fast food. Your gut isn’t accustomed to it, so it reacts, and then it’s anchors away!!
It’s much simpler to just have a couple of prunes daily, use Finnesa (i buy here) for gut balance, and keep broccoli as a weekly staple ![]()
Waffle House or Hibachi usually does it for me!
I discovered this the hard way during a recent road trip through New England. (My apologies to everyone at that NY Thruway rest area).
The store-brand MiraLax works every single time.
Costco’s dried mango is also very effective. Just eat a bunch of it!
Sorbitol-filled sugar-free candies will definitely flush your system. Popcorn like Skinny Pop is a good healthy option. I’ve found success with consistent fiber gummies throughout the day. Keeping on top of it is key. My injection days are usually when it’s at its worst.
Listen everyone, I actually had to use an enema recently. I’m taking Miralax regularly now because I never want to experience that again. I was literally in tears stuck on the toilet for two hours in my boyfriend’s studio apartment ![]()

Whole chocolate milk.
Sugar-free peanut butter cups from Russell Stover, specifically the ones with maltitol. Grab a small bag, finish half, and get ready.
LOL, McDonald’s fries and a Coke are my go-to for a migraine, and it definitely has that ‘total flush’ effect for me as well. Like you said, it works perfectly! (Plus, it fixes most of my headaches!) Edit: Since starting Zep, I can only manage a small fry and Coke, and that’s literally all I can finish, but it’s enough. Thank goodness!
Strangely, walking into a Barnes & Noble triggers it for me every time. I don’t know why books act as a laxative, but they do for me.
That strategy is a double-edged sword. I’ve done it a few times myself, but now the thought of those foods makes me nauseous; I might be finished with them. Lately, I’ve been eating sliced apples. Those 12oz bags you can get for around $3. If I finish the bag, I’m guaranteed a solid
by the next morning. No painful side effects.
It’s just so agonizing when you have hard stool backed up with urgent diarrhea trying to push past it.
