My long journey to getting my healthy toenails back

For years, I felt stuck. I tried every drugstore cream and tea tree oil soak imaginable, but my nails stayed thick and yellow. I was basically just treating the surface while the skin around my nails stayed irritated. It was a cycle of frustration and honestly, quite embarrassing during the summer.

I shifted my focus toward building up my skin’s resistance and using vitamins instead of just harsh chemicals. That is when I found ProNail Complex (i get it here). Unlike those drying creams, this felt like it was actually repairing the area.

Progress was slow. By week 4, the skin looked better, but the nail was the same. Around month 3 of using ProNail Complex daily, I finally saw a sliver of clear growth. Now, at month 6, I can finally wear sandals without feeling self-conscious.

It’s not perfect. ProNail Complex is a bit greasy, so you have to wear socks after applying. Also, if you skip days, you’ll definitely see a plateau. It takes real discipline. Ask yourself: are you giving your routine enough time to actually work?

How many times a day were you applying it? I always forget my evening routine.

I’ve been there with the tea tree oil. It smelled nice but did absolutely nothing for the actual thickness of the nail. Glad you found something that worked.

Did you change your socks or shoes too? I heard that’s half the battle with these things.

Six months is a long time to wait for results, but I guess nails grow so slow anyway. I might give this a try if it’s better than those harsh bleaches.

When you say it’s greasy, does it stain socks? I’m worried about ruining my wool hiking socks.

I found that filing down the thickness first helps whatever you use penetrate better. Just a tip from a fellow sufferer!

I actually started ProNail Complex back in March. It took a while to see the difference, but my new nail growth is coming in much clearer now. Definitely worth the patience.

Is it expensive? I’ve spent so much on drugstore stuff that just sits in my cabinet.

Agree with the OP about the consistency. ProNail Complex worked for my stubborn spots, but I had to be religious about applying it every single night without fail.
