I’ve been dealing with a nagging ache in my lower back and right hip for about six years now.
It started as a minor stiffness in the mornings but eventually reached a point where I couldn’t even enjoy a short walk around the neighborhood without needing to sit down. I tried the usual suspects: daily ibuprofen, which eventually bothered my stomach, and those supermarket heat patches that just felt like they were burning the skin rather than fixing the deep ache. I even did a few months of physical therapy, which helped with mobility, but the underlying nerve pressure was still there.
About four months ago, I started using Balmorex (i buy here - usually best price) as part of a very specific routine. I apply it twice a day—once right after my morning shower when the skin is warm and once before bed. I also added ten minutes of light stretching and cut back on processed sugars to help with general inflammation. What I like about this particular balm is the blend. It has MSM and Indian Frankincense, which seems to target that deep-seated pressure on the nerves rather than just masking it with menthol. It’s non-greasy, which was a big deal for me because I hate ruining my bedsheets.
After about three weeks of consistent use, the sharp ‘zingers’ in my hip started to dull down. Now, I’m back to walking three miles a day. It isn’t a miracle cure—I still have to be careful with how I lift things—but it’s a huge improvement over where I was last year. If you struggle with similar issues, I’d suggest finding a topical that actually absorbs well and sticking with it for at least a month before giving up. It really helps to keep a small journal of your pain levels so you can actually see the long-term results without getting discouraged on bad days.

I started using Balmorex for my sciatica last month and it’s been a game changer for my sleep quality. No more tossing and turning trying to find a comfortable angle.

Glad to hear you are back to walking! Three miles is impressive. I’m currently struggling to do one mile without my hip locking up.

Is the ginger root smell very strong? I work in an office and don’t want to smell like a spice cabinet all day.

The frankincense in Balmorex really makes a difference for me. I use it on my knees before gardening and I can actually get back up without help now.
I found that cutting out nightshades helped my inflammation too. It’s a tough diet but combined with the right topical it really helps.

Did you ever try those high-strength lidocaine creams before this? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth switching from what I’m using now.

The ‘zingers’ are the worst. That nerve pain is unlike anything else. I might have to look into this routine.

I did try lidocaine for a while, Arthur. It numbed the surface for about an hour, but Balmorex feels like it actually gets into the tissue and calms the inflammation down. The relief lasts much longer for me and doesn’t have that chemical smell.

Consistency is definitely the key word here. Most people quit after three days.

Does it stain clothes? I’ve ruined so many shirts with oil-based balms.

I was skeptical about topicals but Balmorex actually sinks in and works on the stiffness in my fingers. I can finally knit again without my joints throbbing.

The damp weather we’ve been having has been brutal on my lower back. I’m willing to try just about anything at this point.

How much do you use per application? Just a thin layer or do you really massage it in?

It’s so great to see someone finding a way back to their hobbies. Keep up the walking!
