My rosacea cleared up in just 14 days thanks to collagen peptides and vitamin C

Hello everyone. I was told I had rosacea seven years back. Nothing I tried seemed to help. The cold weather would always set off a massive breakout that lasted for months. My dermatologist wasn’t much help, just saying there’s no real cure and offering creams to manage it. About a month ago, I started taking collagen peptide powder mixed with water and 1000mg of vitamin C from a health store. Within two weeks, all my rosacea symptoms were gone. I’m sharing this in case it might help someone else.

Could you upload photos of the brands you used? I’m so thrilled for you. Most people don’t realize how difficult this condition is.

Which brand of collagen did you get?

I’m staying tuned for updates. Please post a picture of the supplements when you have a moment. So glad to hear you found something that works!

That settles it, I’m buying some collagen peptide powder right now haha.

I wanted to provide a bit more info. The rosacea is entirely gone. No more flares, no more dry skin. My face doesn’t look like a red mess anymore, and the flare-ups have stopped completely.

I’m happy this helped, though my first thought was maybe it was scurvy. :sob: I’m definitely going to give the collagen a shot.

Which type of rosacea are you dealing with? I have type 2 and have used collagen peptides on and off for years without seeing a change (though it’s been great for my joints and hair).

I started this routine three days ago. I’m hoping it clears up my rash.

Everyone, I’m feeling a bit conflicted now that this post is getting attention. I was diagnosed with Rosacea 7 years ago, and my skin was never clear until I tried these peptides. My triggers were usually stress, cold, and social anxiety. Major flares involved deep redness under my eyes, on my nose, and my lower forehead. My skin was always flaky and rough, kind of like eczema. Does that sound like Rosacea to you? I just accepted the diagnosis because it was persistent and fit most descriptions. However, I never had visible veins or acne-like bumps. The flushing and eczema-like texture were my main issues. Could it have been something else? I’d hate for people to waste 50 dollars on stuff that won’t help them :frowning:

Hey guys, I’m feeling a bit unsure since this post is blowing up. I got a Rosacea diagnosis 7 years ago, and these peptides are the first thing to clear my skin. Stress, cold, and social settings were my triggers. Bad flares meant deep red patches under my eyes and on my nose/forehead. It was always crusty and patchy, almost like eczema. Does this sound like Rosacea to you? I followed the doctor’s diagnosis because it was constant and seemed to fit. I never had the spider veins or the pimples, though. The redness and dry patches were the worst parts. Was it actually something else? I don’t want anyone wasting money on products that might not work for them :frowning:

I took vitamin C and fish oil in the morning, magnesium glycinate in the afternoon, and zinc with vitamin D at night. Honestly… it completely cleared up.

I’ve experimented with various collagen peptides but had no luck; actually, I was sensitive to them and they caused itchy, dry skin everywhere. I tried bovine, poultry, egg, porcine, and marine sources individually and in blends across different brands. I had a bad reaction to all of them. I’m glad it worked for you, though.

My rosacea flared up again after being quiet for years. Nothing seemed to help, though Metrogel provided a tiny bit of relief. Interestingly, I went back on marine collagen and remembered my vitamin C after stopping them seven weeks ago. Within two days, the redness vanished and the blisters are drying up and disappearing. It’s very interesting that you had a similar result.
