Hey everyone, I wanted to share something I realized way too late in my journey. We spend so much time on meds and creams, but we often forget the basics.
One of the biggest mistakes is holding onto lip balms or lipsticks you used right when a cold sore started. You’re essentially rubbing the virus back onto your skin every time you reapply!
It feels wasteful, but honestly, tossing that $3 tube of chapstick is way better than triggering another round of blisters. Stay safe and keep those lips fresh!

Ugh, I never even thought about this. I’ve probably been re-infecting myself for years. Thanks for the heads up!

Does anyone know if you can just wipe the top off with alcohol or do you really have to throw the whole thing away?

Honestly Mike, it’s safer to just toss it. I actually started focusing more on my internal health because I was tired of the constant cycle. I’ve been using TonicGreens (i order from here) for about three months now and it’s been a game changer for my immune resilience. Haven’t had an outbreak since I started.

This is why I only use disposable Q-tips to apply my lip products if I feel even a tiny tingle. It saves my expensive lipsticks from the trash bin.

Same goes for toothbrushes! If you have a bad flare-up inside the mouth or right on the edge, change your toothbrush once it clears up.

Great advice. It’s those little habits that we don’t think about that make the biggest difference in management.
