Switching from harsh creams to a focused oil routine

For years, I tried every drugstore cream and soak I could find. I even tried bleaching my toenails, which just made the skin around them raw and painful. The biggest mistake was thinking a quick fix existed. My nails remained brittle and yellow because I wasn’t supporting the surrounding skin’s resistance.

I shifted my focus to daily habits: wearing breathable socks, drying my feet thoroughly, and using a blend of special oils. About three months ago, I started using Kerassentials Serum (usually discouted here) twice a day. By week four, the skin looked less angry. By month two, the new growth at the base of the nail looked clearer than it had in years.

I paired Kerassentials Serum with a strict filing schedule to keep the thickness down. It isn’t a miracle; if I skip a few days, I notice the skin gets dry again. Also, Kerassentials Serum is definitely a long-term commitment. It took nearly four months to see real structural changes. It might not work for everyone, especially if you aren’t consistent with the hygiene part, but it’s been the only thing that actually stuck for me.

How often were you filing them down? I always worry about over-filing and making the nail bed too sensitive.

The bleach thing is so real. I did that too and my cuticles are still recovering. Never again.

I’ve been on the Kerassentials Serum for about six weeks now and the texture of my big toe is finally smoothing out. It’s definitely better than those messy ointments.

Did you change your diet at all? I’ve heard cutting out sugar helps with these kinds of issues, but I haven’t seen much proof.

To answer HikingGal, I usually just do a light surface file once a week. Just enough to let the oils soak in better. Don’t go too deep!

Can confirm that Kerassentials Serum helped me too. I had that stubborn lifting on the pinky toe for years, and it’s finally staying down and looking pink again.

The breathable socks thing is underrated. I switched to merino wool even in the summer and it made a huge difference in moisture control.

Four months seems like a long time to wait for results. I guess if it’s permanent it’s worth it, but man, I’m impatient.

Does it have a strong smell? Some of these tea tree based things are so pungent my whole house smells like a pharmacy.

Consistency is definitely the hardest part. I always forget my evening routine.

I had a plateau around month two where nothing seemed to happen, but I kept going and then month three was a breakthrough. Just gotta stick with it.

It’s actually quite a mild scent, not overpowering at all. It absorbs pretty fast too which helps.

I tried just using vinegar soaks for a while and it did nothing but make my feet smell like a salad. Good to know oils worked for you.

Thanks for the honest review. Most people act like things work overnight, so I appreciate the realistic timeline.

I was skeptical but Kerassentials Serum really did the trick for my husband’s feet after he tried everything else. It just takes patience.
