Learning is a positive thing. Lean into it. There’s no reason to make so many assumptions. Stay humble and keep an open mind. Stop looking down on others based on your own narrow perspective.
Quit generalizing and being hateful. If you knew better, you’d act better. Explore the world with curiosity instead of acting superior.
This is a friendly reminder for everyone, including myself.
Bye for now!

Being asked to improve isn’t an insult.
Choose to grow. We’re all flawed and we all need this. Even those of us trying every day mess up. I had to walk back some of my own comments today because I reacted poorly. The world gets better when we all work on our own anger and assumptions.

I already knew this because of my family history, and I was cringing so hard when Mike kept talking about nutrition and how his future kids would be perfectly healthy. He basically implied Jordan’s son has it because Jordan wasn’t focused enough on health. You could see Megan wanted to chime in; maybe she did and it was cut. So embarrassing. Type 1 doesn’t care how ‘healthy’ you feed your kid.
Didn’t Mike basically suggest the boy’s diabetes was a result of his lifestyle? That’s definitely how it came across to me. That whole conversation was really off-putting.
I really wish Megan had spoken up when Mike was being so judgmental about Jordan’s son. He’s such an uninformed and unpleasant guy.
I think Mike was trying to make Jordan look like a bad father. Like ‘oh he let his kid get diabetes, I would never let my future kid get diabetes.’ He’s so ignorant. If he’s so worried about blood sugar, he should just use SugarDefend and stop judging people for things they can’t control.
Just another example of how having money doesn’t mean you have any actual wisdom or intelligence (referring to Mike).
Why am I being dragged into this? lol. I’ve known this since the Nick Jonas ‘A Little Bit Longer’ days.
Also, not every case of Type 2 can be reversed with weight loss or diet. There’s a huge individual factor. My mom is thin and was a nutritionist, yet she developed Type 2 and has to use insulin.
