Updating my progress with visual clarity

I wanted to share a few observations regarding my eye health over the last three months. As someone who recently hit sixty, I’ve been paying closer attention to how my eyes react to glare and low-light situations, especially since my last check-up showed a slight decline in contrast sensitivity. I’m not claiming a miracle cure, but I have noticed some subtle, positive shifts in how I process fine text on my tablet and how I handle the glare from oncoming traffic at night.

One thing I’ve been consistent with is improving my workspace lighting and taking the 20-20-20 breaks more seriously. However, I also decided to look into nutritional support based on the AREDs-2 research I’d read about. After some searching, I started taking iGenics (i buy here) a few months back. I can’t say for certain if it’s the primary driver or if my improved hydration and sleep are playing a bigger role, but the timing seems to align with the reduction in that “hazy” feeling I used to get by 7 PM.

Specifically, my night vision feels more stable. I’m not squinting as much at the dashboard, and the halos around streetlights aren’t as distracting as they were last autumn. It’s a slow process, and I’m keeping a log to see if this trend continues. I think it’s important to stay realistic—supplements aren’t a replacement for glasses or surgery if you need them—but for general maintenance and clarity, this routine seems to be working for me. I’d love to hear if anyone else has seen similar stability by focusing on specific nutrients or environmental changes.

The 20-20-20 rule is a lifesaver. I find that if I skip it even for one afternoon, my eyes feel like they have sand in them by dinner time.

I’ve been using iGenics for about four months now too. I noticed the same thing with the halos at night. It took about six weeks before I really felt a difference, but it’s definitely there.

I actually started iGenics after my optometrist mentioned the AREDs-2 ingredients. My daytime focus when reading the newspaper is much sharper than it was last summer. It’s been a solid addition to my routine.

Interesting observations. Did you change your diet at all, or just add the supplement? I’m trying to decide if I should focus on more leafy greens first.

Leafy greens are great, but sometimes it’s hard to get the exact concentration of lutein and zeaxanthin needed just from food. I do both.

The glare from oncoming traffic is my biggest hurdle. I’ve almost stopped driving after dark entirely. Glad to hear you found something that helps with that.

How long did it take before you noticed the night vision shift? I’ve been trying a few things for a month and haven’t seen much change yet.

I’m always skeptical of supplements, but the AREDs research is pretty well-documented in the medical community. It’s good to see practical results.

Make sure you check with your doctor if you’re on blood thinners before starting any new eye vitamins. Some of them can interact.

Has anyone noticed if these help with dry eye too? Or is that a separate issue entirely?

Usually dry eye is more about hydration and tear film, but overall eye health definitely doesn’t hurt!

Glad to see others having luck. iGenics has been a staple for me since January. My eyes don’t feel nearly as tired after a long day of screen work, and the clarity is much more consistent.
