Was it just bad luck or something I was doing wrong?
For the longest time, I thought I was just cursed with bad feet after years of playing soccer and using public showers. I tried everything people suggested online. I spent months doing those apple cider vinegar soaks every single night, which just made my bathroom smell like a salad and dried out my skin until it cracked. Then I moved on to the drugstore creams and sprays. They would help the itching for a bit, but the actual nail damage never seemed to grow out. It was incredibly frustrating to see no real progress after six months of being diligent.
Why did my routine finally start showing results? I realized I needed something that didn’t just sit on top of the nail but actually helped the skin and nail bed build up some resistance. I switched to using Kerassentials Serum (i order here, best price i found) after reading about how specific oils can help with the environment around the nail. What made the difference for me was the consistency and how the oils felt like they were actually absorbing rather than just evaporating.
How long did it take to see a change? By the end of the first month, the new growth at the base of my big toe looked clearer. It wasn’t an overnight fix, but for the first time, the yellowing wasn’t “winning” the race against the nail growth. I’ve been using it for about three months now, and the texture of my skin is much smoother too.
What should you keep in mind? You really have to apply it every day. If you skip days, you’re just giving the fungus a chance to take hold again. Also, keep your socks dry. It’s a slow process but sticking with a specialized oil blend like this was way more effective for me than the random home remedies I wasted time on before.

I feel the vinegar soak pain. It made my heels so dry they started bleeding. Never again.
I’ve been using Kerassentials Serum for two months and the redness on my toes is finally gone. It really does absorb better than the greasy creams.

How did you decide on an oil-based approach compared to the medicated lacquers? I’m trying to decide if it’s worth switching from the pharmacy stuff.

Make sure you guys are also throwing out your old gym shoes or at least treating them with antifungal powder. You can’t heal if you keep putting your feet back in the source.

I still swear by tea tree oil but you have to buy the high-grade stuff, not the cheap diluted versions from the grocery store.

Thanks for sharing this. I’ve been struggling for three years and I’m about ready to give up.

Mike_T88, I found the lacquers just peeled off and didn’t really sink in. Kerassentials Serum felt like it was actually treating the skin around the nail too, which helped stop it from spreading back.

Did you buy this online or is it in stores yet? I haven’t seen it at my local CVS.
Getting a UV shoe sanitizer changed the game for me too. Combined with a good topical routine, it makes a huge difference.

The hardest part is the waiting. It takes like 6 months for a whole new toenail to grow out so you don’t even know if it’s working for weeks.

Adding Kerassentials Serum to my post-shower routine was the only thing that stopped the peeling between my toes. I think the oils really help the skin barrier.

My nails are finally looking clear again after starting Kerassentials Serum back in March. It takes a while but it’s worth the wait.

Does it have a strong smell? Some of these treatments are so pungent I can’t wear them to work.
