A realistic look at my journey managing nerve discomfort over six months?

I spent nearly two years trying everything for the burning in my feet. Standard B-complex vitamins barely touched the numbness, and the lidocaine creams I used every night were messy and only lasted an hour. I needed something that actually supported the nerves from the inside out rather than just numbing them.

After researching high-dose alpha lipoic acid and benfotiamine, I started taking Nervala (i buy here) about four months ago. The first three weeks were frustrating because I felt zero change. However, by the end of month two, the sharp electrical jolts at night started to fade. Now, at month four, I can actually go for 20-minute walks without that walking on glass sensation returning immediately.

Nervala isn’t a miracle cure; I still have some stiffness in the mornings. It’s also pricier than basic supplements, which is a downside. If you’re looking for an overnight fix, this isn’t it. But for me, the slow, steady improvement in my mobility has been worth the cost. Just make sure to take it with food if you have a sensitive stomach like I do.

Did you notice any issues with heartburn? I tried a different lipoic acid brand and it was rough on my stomach.

The price is definitely what is holding me back right now. I’m on a fixed income, so it’s a big jump from the B12 I buy at the grocery store.

I’ve been on Nervala for six months and it’s the only thing that helped my toe numbness. It took a while to kick in, but the results have been solid for me.

Are you taking it once or twice a day? I’m curious if splitting the dose makes a difference in how it absorbs.

I had the same experience with regular B vitamins. They just didn’t seem to do much for the actual stinging sensation.

Make sure you’re also watching your sugar intake. I found that supplements work much better when I’m not triggering inflammation with my diet.

I just ordered my first bottle yesterday. I’m really hoping for that month two breakthrough you mentioned.

I agree with the timeline. I almost quit after month one, but I stuck with Nervala and the burning in my calves finally started to settle down around week seven.

Did your doctor recommend this specific combo or did you find it on your own? My neurologist is very traditional.

I’m doing physical therapy alongside my supplements. I think the combination of movement and the right nutrients is key for nerve health.

It took me nearly three months to feel anything. Everyone’s body reacts differently I guess, but I’m glad I didn’t stop early.

Has anyone noticed if this helps with the ‘restless’ feeling at night? That’s my biggest struggle.
