Comparing Vitamin C: Alastin or Jan Marini?

I’m looking to add a vitamin C serum to my routine and am deciding between Alastin and Jan Marini. Since I’m prone to acne and clogged pores, which of these two would you suggest? EDIT: I just realized Jan Marini isn’t safe for pregnancy or those trying to conceive, so I’m shifting focus—what are your thoughts on Alastin?

I’ll just share my experience—I’ve used Skin Ceuticals for a long time. After hearing that their patent ended and seeing so many alternatives on TikTok, I decided to try a different one, and it was a disaster. It ruined my skin’s progress and left it inflamed after just three days. I went right back to Skin Ceuticals. That said, I did use Jan Marini’s Vitamin C in my late 20s (I’m 50 now) and I liked it. Even though I’m not a fan of the scent or the price of Skin Ceuticals, the results are worth it.

I’d suggest giving Alastin a shot. I’ve been using it for two years, and it’s the only Vitamin C that doesn’t irritate my skin. I tried making Skinceuticals work multiple times but eventually had to give up. Alastin was the solution for me. My skin is oily, sensitive, and mature, and I’m very prone to breakouts from new products. Best of luck!
