Dealing with chronic shoulder inflammation: my results switching from pills to topicals?

What I tried before

For years, I relied on high-dose ibuprofen and various oral supplements to manage the grinding in my shoulders. They helped for a few hours, but eventually, the digestive side effects became too much to ignore. Physical therapy was great for mobility, but that deep, nagging ache always returned by evening.

What I changed

I decided to focus on targeted relief. After some research into MSM and traditional ingredients like ginger and frankincense, I started using a formula called Balmorex (i get it here). I wanted something that wouldn’t just mask the pain with a cooling sensation but actually soak in.

Week-by-week progress

Month one was fairly subtle. I noticed I wasn’t waking up as stiff, but the pain was still there. By the end of month two, I realized I hadn’t reached for my pill bottle in over a week.

What improved

I can finally reach the high shelves in my pantry without wincing. The texture is great too—it absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy.

What didn’t

It isn’t a miracle. If I spend all day pruning the hedges, I still feel it. Balmorex is a tool for management, not a total cure, and it is more expensive than basic drugstore creams.

I’ve been using Balmorex for three weeks on my knees and the difference in my morning walk is huge. Definitely noticing less friction.

Balmorex worked way better for my lower back than those heat patches ever did. It actually feels like it gets into the tissue.

Does it have a strong medicinal smell? I’m very sensitive to those heavy menthol scents that most of these creams have.
