I spent nearly three years cycling through different B-vitamins and various creams to manage the constant “pins and needles” sensation in my feet. Nothing seemed to reach the deeper discomfort, and some prescriptions just made me feel foggy during the day. I was really looking for something that targeted the nerves directly.
About four months ago, I started taking Nervala (ordered here) daily. Unlike the generic alpha-lipoic acid I tried before, this formula includes benfotiamine, which I read helps with absorption. The first few weeks were slow; I actually had a small flare-up in week three and almost quit. However, by the second month, the nighttime “buzzing” subsided enough that I could finally sleep through the night without ice packs.
I’ve found that Nervala works best if I’m consistent with my water intake too. It isn’t a miracle—I still get some stiffness if I overdo it on my walks—but the sharp, electric shocks are mostly gone now. For me, Nervala was the missing piece after years of trial and error. Just be patient, as it took a full eight weeks to really notice a difference in my mobility.

That buzzing sensation is the absolute worst. Does it feel like a low-voltage battery against your skin? I’ve been trying to describe it to my doctor for months.
I’m always a bit wary of supplements because they can be so expensive without any real results. Did you check your blood levels before starting this new routine?
How many capsules are you taking a day? I’m currently on a high dose of gabapentin but the fatigue is killing my productivity.
I’ve been on Nervala for about three months now and it really helped with the shooting pains in my calves. It took a while to kick in, but it was worth the wait for me.
I found that cutting out processed sugars also helped a lot with the inflammation. It’s usually a combination of things that does the trick.

Have you tried any specific exercises or stretches? I find that light swimming helps take the pressure off my lower back and legs.

Thanks for sharing the timeline. Most people expect results in three days and give up too soon. Good to know it takes a couple of months.
Does this bother your stomach at all? I tried a different lipoic acid brand last year and it gave me terrible heartburn every time I took it.
I’ve had neuropathy for over a decade. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Glad you found something that is giving you some peace at night.
The ‘flare-up’ you mentioned in week three is interesting. I wonder if that’s the nerves actually reacting to the change in supplementation.
I use compression socks during the day which helps with the swelling, but the nighttime stuff is what really gets me. Might look into this.
Nervala was a game changer for me too, I can actually go for my morning walks without dreading the first few steps. It really helps with that stiffness.
Adding Nervala to my routine made a huge difference in the burning sensation I used to get every evening. My feet finally feel human again.

Make sure you guys are checking with your neurologists before mixing these with other meds. Some of these high-dose antioxidants can interact.
