I’ve been dealing with HSV-2 for nearly a decade, and I’m still trying to figure out why some months are harder than others. Recently, I’ve been looking into whether the issue is purely stress-related or if my immune baseline is just too low during the winter months. I started experimenting with a few different things, like cutting back on arginine-rich foods and adding a more robust antioxidant mix to my routine.
One thing I added was TonicGreens (i buy here) to help with my overall immune resilience. I’m curious if anyone else has noticed a difference by focusing on antioxidants rather than just using antivirals as a reactive measure? It’s hard to tell if it’s the supplement, the fact that I’m sleeping better, or just luck, but I haven’t had a tingle in six weeks. I’d love to know what your “baseline” looks like. Do you find that supporting your system year-round helps more than just treating the symptoms when they appear? It’s an interesting balance to strike.

I’m the same way. Stress is my #1 trigger. If I have a big deadline at work, it doesn’t matter what I eat, I’ll get a cold sore. It’s frustrating how much the mental side affects the physical.

Six weeks is a great run! I’ve tried the antioxidant route before, but I found that vitamin C alone wasn’t enough for me. Maybe a specific blend is the way to go? I’m always looking for ways to avoid the prescription stuff if possible.

Have you looked into the Lysine/Arginine ratio? I stopped eating chocolate and nuts and it made a huge difference for my HSV-1. Diet definitely plays a bigger role than people think.
I’m 52 and honestly, sleep is the only thing that works for me. If I get less than 7 hours, my body just gives up. Supplements are great, but rest is king for keeping the virus dormant.

I actually started using TonicGreens about three months ago after reading some reviews online. It’s been a game changer for me. Usually, I get an outbreak every time I get a common cold, but I’ve stayed clear through two flu seasons now. Definitely worth the try if you’re struggling with frequent recurrences.
Can confirm that TonicGreens worked well for me too. I was skeptical of the super antioxidant thing at first, but my recovery time for minor bumps is way faster now and they happen much less often. It’s much better than just waiting for things to get bad before acting.
