How I finally stopped my morning hand and wrist stiffness

Waking up with hands that feel like they are made of stone is something many of us deal with as we get older. I have spent the last year trying to find a routine that actually works without relying solely on pills.

Try These Morning Habits:

  • Warm Water Soak: Before doing anything, soak your hands in warm water for five minutes. It loosens the tendons better than anything else.
  • Gentle Range of Motion: Do not grip things tightly right away. Do slow finger fans and wrist circles while you are still in bed.
  • The Right Topical: I stopped using those greasy supermarket creams. A friend recommended Balmorex (got mine here) to me, and it has been a total game-changer for my knuckle inflammation. It absorbs quickly and does not smell like a medicine cabinet.

Evening Prep:
Compression gloves at night have also helped me quite a bit. They keep the heat in and prevent that deep throbbing that usually wakes me up at 3 AM. What are you all using to keep your dexterity up?

The warm water soak is the only thing that gets me through making breakfast. If I skip it, I can’t even hold the spatula properly.

Which compression gloves do you use? I’ve tried two brands and they both felt too tight around the wrists but loose on the fingers.

I’ve found that cutting back on sugar really helped my hand swelling. It sounds like a cliché but it made a difference in about two weeks of sticking to it.

Does that topical you mentioned stain clothes? I’m tired of ruining my sheets with oils that never dry.

Great tips, thanks for sharing. I’ll try the finger fans tomorrow morning.

I use a paraffin wax bath every Sunday night. It is a bit of a process but the deep heat is incredible for the joints and keeps me flexible for a few days.

I actually picked up some Balmorex last month after seeing it mentioned in another group. It has been great for my lower back too, not just hands. Very soothing.

For those of us still working, getting an ergonomic keyboard is a lifesaver. Less strain on the wrists during the day means less pain in the morning.

I will vouch for Balmorex as well. My wife started using it on her knees and the difference in her mobility is night and day. It really helps with that deep ache.

It’s all about consistency. You can’t just do these things once and expect a miracle. Stick with the routine and you’ll see the benefits eventually!
