My long journey with persistent foot issues and what finally changed things

I’ve spent about six years dealing with feet that I was too embarrassed to show at the pool. My big toenails were always that dull, yellow-brown color, and the skin around my pinky toes was constantly peeling and itchy. I tried almost every drugstore cream and soak out there.

Most of those treatments were either too messy or just didn’t seem to get deep enough. I’d see a tiny bit of improvement, stop using it, and then everything would flare up again. A few months ago, I decided to try a different approach focusing on oil-based nutrients rather than just harsh chemicals.

I started using ProNail Complex (ordered here) twice a day. What made this feel different was the consistency; it didn’t just sit on top of the nail but seemed to soak into the surrounding skin too. I paired this with a strict routine of drying my feet with a hair dryer after every shower and switching to bamboo socks to keep things dry.

By week four, the itchiness was completely gone. By month two, I noticed the new growth at the base of my nail actually looked pink and healthy for the first time in years. Now, at the four-month mark, the discoloration is almost grown out. ProNail Complex really helped with the resistance of my skin to those recurring irritations.

Is it perfect? No. It’s a slow process and you can’t skip days or you lose momentum. Also, ProNail Complex is a bit pricier than the generic tubes at the pharmacy. But for me, the skin-repairing vitamins made the biggest difference in how my feet actually look and feel now. It takes patience, but seeing that clear nail grow in is such a relief.

Does this have a strong medicinal smell? I’ve tried tea tree oil before and the scent was so overpowering I had to stop using it before work.

I’m always skeptical of oil-based stuff. Doesn’t it just make your socks greasy all day? I usually prefer the gels because they dry faster.

The hair dryer tip is actually genius. I’ve been towel drying but I bet moisture still gets trapped in the corners. Definitely trying that tonight.

I actually started using ProNail Complex about three months ago for my athlete’s foot issues. It’s been the only thing that actually kept the skin from cracking again during the winter. Really solid results so far.

How many bottles did you go through in those four months? I’m trying to figure out the budget if I commit to this long term.

The yellowing is the worst part. I haven’t worn sandals in three years because of it. It’s so draining to keep trying things that don’t work.

Have you tried pairing it with an Epsom salt soak? I find that helps soften the nail so whatever you apply can actually get in there better.

I’ve seen ads for this but wasn’t sure if it was legit. Thanks for the detailed timeline. Most people expect results in a week which is just not how nails grow.

Can confirm on the results. I used ProNail Complex after a bad locker room infection and it cleared up the yellowing much faster than the cream my doctor gave me.

My experience with ProNail Complex was similar. The skin texture around my toes improved within the first few weeks, which was a huge relief from the constant itching.

Does it sting at all? My skin is super sensitive and some of these fungus treatments feel like they are burning my skin off.

I feel your pain on the ‘stopping and flaring up’ cycle. It’s so frustrating when you think you’ve won and then it comes back two weeks later.

Glad you found something that works. Consistency really is the key with nail stuff. You have to outlast the growth cycle!
