I’ve been dealing with a stubborn yellowing on my big toes for nearly three years now.
It started small but eventually made me super self-conscious about wearing sandals. I tried the usual drug store creams and even tried soaking my feet in apple cider vinegar every night for a month. Those soaks were messy, smelled terrible, and didn’t really do much besides dry out my skin. I also tried a prescription lacquer, but it was so thick and took forever to dry, which made it hard to keep up with while getting ready for work.
A few months ago, I decided to switch things up and started using Kerassentials Serum (i get it here, discounted!). What really struck me was how much easier it was to apply compared to the thick lacquers. It feels more like a blend of oils rather than a harsh chemical. Within about four weeks, I noticed the skin around the nail looked much healthier and the new growth at the base started coming in clear. It seems to focus more on improving nail resistance rather than just masking the issue. My nails feel stronger and the discoloration is almost gone.
Of course, it’s not an overnight fix and you have to be super consistent with it. Results definitely vary, so it’s worth talking to a podiatrist if you have a severe case, but for my moderate fungus, this was the breakthrough I needed.
