I am sixty-two now, and for the last few years, I have felt like I was wading through molasses.
I honestly thought it was just the new normal for my age. I tried the usual stuff: drinking more water, doing crossword puzzles every morning, and even those expensive brain training apps that mostly just made me frustrated with my phone. None of it really did much besides waste my time. I have always been wary of supplements because the market is just flooded with junk that makes huge promises.
I finally decided to try something else after my wife mentioned a friend’s success. I picked up NeuroSerge (i buy here - usually best price) about three months ago. I did not expect a miracle—I figured I would just be out some money again. But after about three weeks of taking it once a day, I noticed the afternoon slump was not hitting me as hard as it used to.
What I liked was that it did not give me that jittery caffeine feeling. It just felt like a slow lifting of the curtain. I could focus on my reading for an hour without my mind wandering to the grocery list or the lawn. Unlike the ginkgo or the heavy B-complex pills I tried before, which usually just gave me an upset stomach, this was much gentler on my system.
It was not an overnight fix. You really have to stay consistent with the routine to see any change. I still have my senior moments here and there, but the day-long mental energy is definitely better than it was last summer. Of course, everyone is different, and I would suggest checking with your doctor if you are on other meds, but for me, it has been a solid change.

I can relate to the molasses feeling. It’s like you know the word is there, but you just can’t grab it. I’ve been doing the puzzles too, but they feel more like a chore lately.

Have you changed anything else in your diet? I found cutting back on sugar helped a bit with my focus, but the afternoons are still a struggle.
I’ve been looking at a few different brands that claim to help with clarity. How did you decide on this one over the more popular stuff you see on TV? Did you try any other specific ingredients first?
I’m always skeptical of these things. Most of the time it’s just a placebo effect or a lot of B-vitamins you could get from a steak. Glad you’re feeling better though.

I’ve been using NeuroSerge for about two months now and I agree with the OP. The biggest thing for me was the mental stamina during my afternoon bridge games. I don’t feel as drained by the end of the day.

Does it interfere with sleep at all? I tried a different focus supplement last year and I was up until 2 AM every night.
It’s good to hear a real experience. I’m 65 and the fog is real. Some days are better than others.

I started NeuroSerge last fall. It took a few weeks to really kick in, but I’m much less forgetful with my keys and phone now. Glad to see it’s working for others too.
To GardenStateGal, I actually tried those big-name ones you see in the drugstores first. Most of them were just high-dose vitamins that didn’t do much for my focus. I liked NeuroSerge because it felt more balanced. It didn’t give me that weird wired feeling, and the once-a-day thing was way easier for me to stick to than the three-pill regimens.

NeuroSerge has been a staple for me since January. It’s not a magic pill, but the mental clarity is definitely more consistent now. I don’t have as many of those what did I come into this room for moments.
Is this something you can find locally or do you have to get it online? I’m tired of subscriptions that are hard to cancel.

Thanks for sharing the timeline. A lot of people expect results in two days and quit. I’ll probably look into this after I talk to my nutritionist.
