I’ve got a pot of oatmeal simmering on the stove with aromatic spices and diced apples. It’s smelling wonderful!
If teleportation were possible, I’d head straight to Palestine. I really miss my relatives and the local cuisine.
I cooked up a delicious curry with rice earlier; I plan to spend the afternoon being creative and sipping on some hot coffee.
Not much to report today, so just saying hello! 
Question of the day: I’d go to a spa because I’m desperate for a massage.
I’d pick Disney World in Florida! I’m dying to return, plus I’m sure the weather is much better there right now

QOTD: Costa Maya, Mexico, would be perfect right now! The weather lately has been a total rollercoaster—switching from chilly to mild to absolutely freezing! Life in the Midwest is never boring. I need to focus on my tasks again since I’m back at work tomorrow for a split schedule. The grandkids are spending their final night here with their mom before returning to their father’s place, which is always a tough transition. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
Welcome to the ~stressful~ wonderful world of planning a wedding! We haven’t settled on a budget yet, but I’ve selected a tentative date just so we can begin collecting price estimates.

Has anyone else ever experienced a series of nightmares in a single night? 
I’ve only been back at my desk for three days following the holiday, and I’m already feeling exhausted. 
Happy New Year to those already in it, and Happy New Year’s Eve to the rest! I was up early this morning for no particular reason, only to discover I’m short on my thyroid meds… and my international prescription isn’t valid here.
