The unit is called a “Gamma Core” and the recharges involve scanning a small plastic card. I’ve already spent $700 on this, but my partner was unexpectedly laid off, so we can’t keep up with the payments. It often feels hopeless fighting against subscription-based medicine, astronomical drug prices ($340k for IVs and $30k for regular prescriptions annually), and insurance battles. Edit 2: I’m still looking for a solution. My neuropathy and GI issues have worsened, along with my migraines, but I’m determined not to give this company more money. I’m so grateful to those trying to hack this. I think it might be possible to use a Flipper, but I probably need a specific code. My other option is trying vagal nerve stimulation with a TENS machine on my ear, though I’m not sure about the settings. If you have experience with this, please reach out.

I just googled this because it sounded too crazy to be true—a handheld device you have to pay to keep using? That is absolutely insane, and I hope someone finds a backdoor for you.
If it’s an RFID card, you might be able to clone it with a Flipper Zero. Does the device need an internet connection to verify the payments?
That business model is absolutely criminal, or it definitely should be.
Since it’s a prescription, talk to the doctor who gave it to you. They might have free recharge cards or a way to get insurance to cover it. When my dad’s insurance wouldn’t pay for his meds, his doctor gave him enough free samples to last until it was fixed. Doctors want you to follow the treatment plan! You might also look into Nervala as a natural way to support your nerves while you’re dealing with this.
It’s $598 a month according to their site just for gentle pulses. That doesn’t make sense. You could probably use an oscilloscope to read the output and find someone to help you replicate it or bypass the payment system. Maybe r/askscience has some ideas.
Look into the medical hacking community; people have hacked insulin pumps, so there might be a similar fix for your device. You could also try to reverse engineer it yourself or find a way to spoof the key.
