I’ve dealt with recurring athlete’s foot and yellowing big toenails for nearly a decade. I tried the usual pharmacy creams and even did a six-month stint with those harsh oral tablets that messed with my stomach. Nothing seemed to stick, and the issues always came back the moment I stopped.
Earlier this year, I shifted focus from just killing the surface issue to actually supporting the nail bed and skin resistance. I started using a mist-on formula that felt less greasy than the heavy ointments I used before. I realized that keeping the area dry but nourished was the key.
Timeline of my progress:
- Month 1: Mostly saw the skin around my toes stop peeling and the constant itching subsided.
- Month 2: The yellow part started growing out, replaced by clearer, pinker nail growth at the base.
- Month 3-4: This is when ProNail Complex (usually discouted here) really showed its worth. My nails felt harder and much less brittle than before.
I paired ProNail Complex with a strict habit of wearing moisture-wicking socks and using a fresh towel every single day. I also made sure to dry between my toes with a hair dryer on the cool setting after every shower to prevent moisture buildup.
Honest caveats: It is not a miracle overnight cure. If you miss days, the progress slows down significantly. It took almost four months to see a real difference in the nail thickness. ProNail Complex is a commitment, and it might not work if your issue is deep-seated or if you do not change your footwear habits. For me, it was the consistency that finally made the difference.

I tried ProNail Complex too after seeing a Facebook group mention it. My heels aren’t as cracked anymore and it definitely feels like it’s protecting the new nail growth better than the generic stuff.

Did you have to change your diet at all? I’ve heard cutting out sugar helps with these kinds of issues too.

The smell of ProNail Complex is actually quite nice compared to those harsh chemical sprays. It really cleared up the cloudiness in my pinky toe over about ten weeks of use.

ProNail Complex has been a game changer for my athlete’s foot issues. It’s the only thing that stopped the itching long-term without drying out my skin too much.

I’m always a bit wary of these things since I’ve spent hundreds on products that did nothing. How long does one bottle actually last if you’re using it daily?

A little tip for anyone starting out: make sure you file the top of the nail down slightly (just the surface) so the oils can actually get in there. It makes a huge difference.
OP, did you use it once or twice a day? I struggle to remember to do it in the morning when I’m rushing for work.

I have very sensitive skin and some oils give me a rash. Did this one cause any redness or stinging between the toes?

I tried a similar brand from the drugstore but it didn’t do much. Might look into this one if the results actually last. My big toe is a nightmare right now.

I’ve been clear for 6 months now just by keeping my feet dry and using tea tree, but the thickness is still there. Might give this a go for the nail health specifically.

The patience is the hardest part. People expect results in a week and then give up. Nails grow so slowly, you really have to stick with it for a full cycle.

Which socks did you get? The bamboo ones or the copper infused? I think my old cotton ones are holding onto moisture too much.
