What does experiencing low blood sugar feel like to you all?

According to my endocrinologist, I’m very sensitive to changes in my glucose levels. Personally, I’d compare it to being intoxicated but without any of the fun parts. It’s also similar to that ‘off’ sensation right before a high kicks in if you’ve ever used cannabis. As my levels drop, I start sweating and shaking, feeling disconnected from the world while my thoughts spiral. It’s a pretty miserable experience. How do you all experience it?

I’d also like to mention that the sensations usually begin in my limbs. My arms and legs feel ‘heavy’ or weak, as if all the strength has been sucked out of them.

Like having three beers in your system.

Lightheaded, disoriented, worried, and sick to my stomach. Because I also deal with vasovagal syncope, that panic often causes me to faint. It’s funny how a 26-year-old guy can look like a Victorian lady fainting just because he skipped some carbs!

It’s TOTALLY like being wasted!! That is precisely the way I describe it to others!

My go-to description is that it feels like being intoxicated while having a full-blown panic attack.
